Mercury Semiconductor Diffusion Heater
Low-mass diffusion furnace heater, 350°C to 1,250°C
The Mercury is DS Fibertech’s low-mass diffusion furnace heater, built for fast ramp and fast cool, across 350°C to 1,250°C. Its open helical coil sits recessed and exposed in the insulation, so more of its energy reaches the process tube as radiant heat. It’s available for line voltage, which removes the need for a transformer, and with standard terminal leads.
Construction
DS Fibertech’s cross-section, from the process tube outwards: a 1,800°C alumina coating and a black body coating on the hot face; the recessed, exposed helical element in DS Fibertech’s vacuum-formed ceramic fibre; an insulation blanket; and a stainless steel shell, with Kanthal leads through lead isolators.
