Phobos TVAC2 - Thermal Vacuum Chamber
The Intlvac Phobos TVAC2 is Intlvac’s midsize thermal vacuum system. It tests a wide range of components under simulated space vacuum and changing thermal conditions.
Chamber and vacuum
The chamber is 304 stainless steel. Pumping is dry, so the test runs in a clean high vacuum below 10-6 torr with no risk of oil contaminating the parts under test.
Control and data logging
Phobos runs on Intlvac’s Autosys PLC controller, housed in its own rack. Pump-down, venting and temperature control are automatic, the system recovers by itself after a power failure, and interlocks keep operation safe. A LabVIEW workstation with a 19″ screen is the operator interface, and every parameter is logged for review in the graphical log viewer or in a spreadsheet.
