Frontier Chemical/Solvent Heater
Inline solvent heater for hazardous areas
The Frontier is Process Technology’s inline heater for solvents, water and bases in hazardous operating environments. The heat source is isolated from the fluid, and indirect heating keeps surface temperatures and hot spots down, which suits temperature-sensitive chemistries.
Every wetted surface is electropolished 316 stainless steel, with no o-rings in the flow path and a crevice-free design to keep contamination low. At up to 36 kW it’s the most powerful of Process Technology’s inline solvent heaters, and the pressure drop stays low even above 60 litres a minute.

Where it’s used
Semiconductor solvent lines, medical device cleaning and electroless nickel plating. The Frontier isn’t for acids; for those, see the fluoropolymer TIH or ChemHeat. The same heating design comes as a turn-key system in the Lufran chemical heater.
