Lufran DI Water Heater
Ultra-pure DI water heating
The Lufran DI is Process Technology’s inline heater for ultra-pure deionised water. Every wetted surface is PTFE or PVDF, and the heating elements are PTFE-covered with a patented purge that removes permeation and extends element life. A patented temperature and flow algorithm works out the power needed and responds straight away to changes in flow, to keep temperature swings small.
It’s a complete turn-key system, sized from 24 kW to 312 kW, for single pass or recirculating loops on wet benches and rinse lines in semiconductor and flat panel manufacturing.

Choosing and sizing
For water, the power you need is roughly flow in litres a minute, times the temperature rise in °C, times 0.07. If the water is DI or RO grade rather than ultra-pure, the titanium Tytan may be the simpler choice. Both are compared on our high-purity DI water heaters page.
