Mass-Vac: Vacuum Pump Traps and Filter Elements

Mass-Vac makes vacuum pump traps and the filter elements that go in them. The company is based in North Billerica, Massachusetts, has been recommending traps for vacuum processes for over 50 years, and builds the MV Multi-Trap for heavy process loads, the single-stage Posi-Trap and Visi-Trap, Visi-Mist oil mist eliminators and vacuum degassing chambers. A trap sits in the pump’s inlet or exhaust line and catches particles, condensable vapours and corrosive chemicals before they reach the pump. That means fewer pump rebuilds and less unplanned downtime on processes such as LPCVD, PECVD, ALD, MOCVD and metal etch, and on extruder vent lines, freeze dryers and rotary evaporators.
