Pushing the Boundaries of Micro-Printing: Our Partner Hummink Installs NAZCA Machine at University of Southampton
At SiSTEM Technology, we’re pleased to share news from our partner Hummink, which makes High Precision Capillary Printing (HPCaP) equipment. Hummink has installed its NAZCA printer at the University of Southampton.
Printing for research at Southampton
NAZCA is a direct-write printer for the micro and nanoscale. It prints conductive, polymer and quantum dot inks in lines down to 500 nm, for research on electronic components and materials.
By installing this advanced equipment in the Printed Electronics and Materials Laboratory at the University of Southampton, led by Professor Steve Beeby, Hummink is giving researchers a new tool for work in:
- Flexible and printed electronics
- Wearable technologies
- Nano-engineered materials
- High-performance microsystems
Installation support
Mark van den Berg of SiSTEM Technology supported the installation alongside Hummink’s engineers.

Hummink also presented at Leti Innovation Days 2025. SiSTEM is Hummink’s distributor for the UK, Ireland, the Nordic countries, Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and we arrange demonstrations and sample prints for research groups and manufacturers.
